Gluten-Free Dining Out

Dining Club News

GF Lunch Bunch

Lunches are held at Tucson restaurants, usually on the second Friday of each month.

Gluten-Free Dining Group

Group dinners are arranged at restaurants supporting gluten-free dining, usually on the fourth Tuesday of each month.

Check our calendar for up-to-date information on venues and dates.

Gluten-Free dining is a challenge for people with celiac disease or anyone with gluten intolerance. Dining clubs help us practice ordering (and screening) our food to insure a safe meal. We learn from our fellow Celiacs how to order gluten free from restaurant menus. Join us for fun and to help raise Celiac Disease (CD) awareness in the food service industry and general community. When dining out we can educate restaurants and food service workers on specific needs of gluten intolerant patrons and help them learn to prepare and serve gluten free food.

If you have had a great (or not so great) GF dining experience please use the form below to notify us.

Dining Tips:

  • Usually it is safer to eat at a more upscale restaurant where chefs tend to make items from scratch and from fresh ingredients. They are typically more knowledgeable about diet and special needs.
  • Ideally the kitchen or wait staff can tell you if a menu items contain wheat or gluten, and may offer substitutions or modifications.
  • Contacting the chef ahead of time is preferable, and most chefs are at work after 3 PM.
  • Call or visit and leave written information on the GF diet requirements with the chef ad manager.  (CSA members have a card to carry that specifies diet requirements)
  • You may also mail, email or fax the diet information since the chef may not be aware of hidden sources of gluten or of cross contamination.
  • Please go out of your way to thank the Chef and staff for their efforts.   A good tip will also show your appreciation!
  • A follow-up note with a Celiac brochure builds Celiac awareness - one chef at a time. Carry copies of GF Dining brochures to help distribute reference materials that can be posted on the restaurant’s bulletin board.
  • For diners in the Southwest, the Spanish translation for wheat flour is harina de trigo (with a silent "h" - "arina") and for bread is pan. Tell your server "no harina" and "no pan." Maíz (corn) is good (bien). Masa harina is the flour (made from corn) used to make corn tortillas and is OK. However, the large "flour tortillas" used for burritos and chimichangas are made with wheat flour and must be avoided.
  • We have adapted a very good list of suggested questions to ask when dining out, originally from Alamo Celiac, GIG (by Melanie Psaltakis).
  • Restaurant Cards with the name of our group and dietary restrictions printed on the back are also available to our members at any general meeting. Pick up one. They work!
  • Restaurant cards are available with membership in the Celiac Support Association. 402-558-0600. www.csaceliacs.org.
  • Restaurant cards are available in a variety of languages. You can order commercially printed Restaurant Cards at http://www.triumphdining.com/ with the text adapted for each cuisine. Translated cards are available in English, Chinese, French, Greek, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Spanish (Mexican), Thai, and Vietnamese. Printable restaurant cards in 54 languages are free online from CeliacTravel.com.

I have celiac disease. With this illness, I have very strict dietary restrictions related to certain grains. I cannot eat foods with ingredients that are not GLUTEN-FREE. This means NO Wheat (including Emmer, Kamut, Semolina, Spelt, Triticale), Rye or Barley including these sprouted grains. It also includes Oats, which are usually contaminated with wheat. This means I must adhere to the three "C"s - my food cannot Contain, Contact or be Contaminated by these grains.

Adobe Rose Bed and Breakfast (Breakfast only, served on individual plates) · 940 N. Olsen Ave

Gluten Free Menu: No   Just let Marion (the owner) know that you need a GF breakfast

Description: My sister and I visited the Adobe Rose B & B on August 23 at the request of owner, Marion Hook. She had contacted us about her GF breakfast options and wanted us to try it. Before sitting down for breakfast (at a table filled with UA frosh & their out-of-town parents), we 'inspected' the kitchen and found that Marion was quite knowledgeable about the issues of cross-contamination and is very careful with preparation and serving the food. They also prepare dairy-free breakfasts.
The food was fantastic! Everyone was served a bowl of fresh fruit, along with small (4-5") crispy corn tortillas (specially ordered from a company in the Phoenix area) topped with eggs, cheese, and salsa. The GF difference was the choice of ordering cinnamon bread (made from a GF mix by Mindy of Miracle Munchies) as opposed to the typical sweet roll available for those consuming gluten. Coffee and juice were on the table, along with wedges of pineapple on our plates. The meal was wonderfully balanced in taste and texture (and we had NO reaction!). We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marion and her daughter (who run the Inn), and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a B & B.
It's a lovely little place with a lot of history in the UA area.
Call ahead to let Marion know that you need a GF meal. At this time, the meals are only available to those staying at the B & B, but many of you might have family coming in from out of town that need a place to stay, or you might want to spend a getaway weekend there.

Description: This restaurant is in the Mercado District. The atmosphere is a blend of antique meets modern and is a nice space for a good meal. The menu consists of French inspired food, which tastes great and is presented nicely. The service is bit off but they are attentive and quickly correct anything amiss. The menu changes often, so the online menu is just an example and there are many more GF choices than are depicted. Discuss your GF questions with the wait person. I found the waitress to be knowledgeable and accommodating. The former Agustin Brasserie has reopened as Agustin Kitchen, but still offers gluten free options

Jul 5, 2015: I am not at all impressed with this restaurant. The only GF breakfast options are Huevos Rancheros, and a chicken and egg dish - not that good! Jan 26, 2014: I have eaten breakfast at BW 4 times, always notifying my server that I must be GF. The first time was several years ago and I was very cautious, barely eating anything. No reaction. The next 3 times I just had eggs, rice and bacon, then eggs and bacon, then just bacon. All 3 times I had significant digestive reactions that lasted several days. Sep 28, 2013: I found a gluten-free menu inserted in the regular menu and although the selections were limited compared to the regular menu there were several omelettes, a couple of salads and a stir-fry. Sep 14, 2013: This restaurant was recommended to us by an employee at Whole Foods who also ate GF so we checked it out. We were disappointed to say the least. It took over 20 minutes for a server to come to our table and when she did we had questions about GF possibilities other than salad and she struggled badly. She was trying to tell us their lasagna was GF but was getting it confused with Dairy free. "You can just make it without cheese and it'll be fine." hugh? We seemed like an inconvenience and just hated the experience so we left. For us, a GF menu needs to be more than just salads and if the staff waivers at all, then we're out. We will not give this restaurant a second chance. Sep 14, 2013: Boston Market has very little on their menu for gluten free. If you want to eat a plain salad or have their gluten free pizza then this is the place to go. Nov 8, 2010: I've had a lot of terrible gluten free pizza (homemade or frozen). This is the first time I've had one that I really couldn't tell the difference in the crust. This is a Canadian chain that I was very familiar with (years ago) when I lived there. I stopped by here to appease my husband, wondering what I was going to be able to order off their pizza/pasta menu. I was very impressed to see they now offered GF pizza! They only offer the gf crust in individual size but it was a generous portion with (almost) any choice of their topping selections/specialty pizzas. They had a great patio and good service. The menu said gf pasta was coming soon. We'll be back (especially since it is on the NW side of town). Feb 5, 2017: This was th first place I tried after my diagnosis. I was so sick after eating their meal! The wait staff said they understood, my clue should have been that they couldn't answer specific questions for me. I was sick before I ever got home. I called the next day to complain and the manager argued with me that I couldn't have been cross contaminated! Really? He ended up sending me a gift certificate for $25 to retry Carrabbas. May 19, 2010: Honestly? I was VERY disappointed in the gluten-free menu here... First of all, there are NO PRICES on the menu so you have to look at what you want and then find it on the regular menu if you're dining on a budget (annoying). Secondly, the gluten-free menu is just a list of the regular menu items with instructions on how to order it w/out a bunch of stuff... I don't like being reminded of what I CAN'T have, you know? They are always very willing to do what is needed, and there typically is someone there who knows the routine. They wash hands, change gloves, change out the serving spoons (either before washing hands, or a different person takes the dirty serving spoons away and the person with freshly washed and gloved hands gets the clean ones out). They get unopened lettuce and cheese out for us. We even have them wam up corn tortillas by first placing the tortillas in foil, we then have them put the corn tortillas in new foil just in case the outside was contaminated by flour from the warmer. They have a list of dressings with ingredients do you can determine the best one for you. They will make your salad in the back to avoid cross-contamination as much as possible, you just have to ask. An allergy warning gets printed on your ticket. Their meats are all Boar's head, which are all gluten free. Although all their salads come with a roll there is a box on the order form "NO ROLL!!" which works every time. I have never accidently gotten a roll. I have never had a reaction when I eat here. It's great for lunch at work because you can do an order online and pick it up (you request your pick up time) and they have sandwiches, soups, desserts, and paninis for your gluten tolerant friends. They also have wine in addition to fountain beverages.
I also have a severe dairy intolerance which they can accomodate as well. It's one of my favorite place to go. They are always crowded at lunch and may not be able to accommodate special instructions, so go a little early or late. Just ask them to make your salad in the back when you order. Tell them you have a gluten intolerance. I also write it on my order card to be safe. Check the "NO ROLL" box on your card. Ask to see the dressing list with ingredients.

Description: The food was good to very good, although menu options were somewhat limited; the service was variable; the prices were in the $$ range ($8 – 13). Parking was an issue – difficult to come and go from. Also, there is only one fryer, so GF and non GF foods are cooked in the same grease – however the grease is changed every Friday morning. Jul 3, 2013: Ate at Feast recently, and was assured my specific entree and appetizer were gluten free (both designated on the menu, and by the waiter). I also went over the kitchen's cross-contamination procedures with the waiter. I suffered an immediate reaction after eating the appetizer. Throughout the night, the reaction became severe. I believe I actually ingested gluten, rather than it being a case of cross-contamination. I was very surprised and impressed with both texture and flavor, both were superb! I was also able to pick up new information about gluten, and actually found where I had unknowingly been ingesting it. I took home some french bread, and a cheddar/green chilli bagel. I can honestly say, I have never had a bagel that good in my life. My overall impression with the bakery/bistro, was one of excitement. I have found a new, favorite, destination!!
Comments:
Jan 5, 2015: Visited to get some GF breads while visiting Tucson. The place was busy with diners. They claim a dedicated GF facility. The kitchen was busy. Gluten Free Menu: No   In-N-Out doesn't have a gluten free/special diets menu per say
Reviewed: 2006, by a member
Description: Here is what can be safely ordered from their menu if one is gluten free:
French Fries: In-N-Out's french fries are truly gluten free. The restaurant has a very simple menu and does not have any breaded items. The fries are fresh cut in the restaurant everyday and made when ordered in their fryer which has nothing else cooked in it.
Hamburger: Order "Protein Style" and it comes wrapped in lettuce (remember the Atkin's Diet fad?). Off their "secret menu" you may also order a burger called the "Flying Dutchman". It is two beef patties with two slices of cheese, no bun. Be sure that you specify that your order not be exposed to any buns and why--often it is easier to explain as an "allergy" to the buns rather than to go into details regarding Celiac Disease or other specific auto-immune disorders. We have also read on the Internet that some In-N-Outs have a separate grill in the back of the kitchen for special orders. Be sure to ask!
Shakes: 100% pure ice cream
Be sure to order any burger with NO SAUCE. They use the same vat and knife to spread the sauce on buns for regular orders, so it is not considered to be gluten free. The grilled onions are NOT gluten free; fresh may be okay, though be sure, if you can have onions, that they would chop them away from anything with gluten. The cheese they use IS gluten free.

Mar 10, 2013: I no longer get burgers from In and Out. I heard they were GF, so I ate there a couple of times and had no problem, getting the protein style with no sauce. Then I began to have problems, but I noticed that they cook the buns and burgers on the same grill next to each other. They are also handling the buns and burgers without changing gloves. I simply don't get the burgers, just not worth a trip to urgent care. I do get the fries tho if I'm there with family/friends. Jun 6, 2012: In-n-Out is no longer accomadating GF, they will cook it on a grill which previously had burgers and buns cooking on it. The managers have changed from older experenced to young inexperenced and they dont have a clue what GF is. The last 2 times I went there they offered to fire up the 3rd grille but they gave different warm up times of 30 to 45 minutes. Beware! Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc) and has an immediate and unmistakable reaction
Jul 18, 2011: When ordering get the lettuce wrap without sauce & I add tomato and onion. Tell them you have an allergy and they will press the allergy button on the register. Ask them to change their gloves, spatula and see if they can cook on a separate grill. I also get the fries. I have eaten there dozens of time and had only one incident. They gave me a free meal the next time and I give a better warning when I order. Great food! Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc) and has an immediate and unmistakable reaction
Jan 31, 2010: I have had mixed (stomach) reactions from the burger wrapped in lettuce and fries routine from In-N-Out and could never figure out why until I recently read in a celiac disease awareness article that sometimes flour is added to burger patties as a bonding agent to keep them together, and that this ingredient is often not added to the ingredients label. That is the only thing besides something with the fries that I can think of that may have caused my unmistakable gluten reaction. I do not know if In-N-Out is supplied by the the companies caught doing this big food-allergy no-no, but I hope this helps others that have had that same puzzling experience where you have no idea what could cause you illness from only a burger patty and lettuce.
In response to an email query about their patties IN-N-OUT Burger responded: In response to your question, our meat patties are 100% pure extra lean American beef. We do not use any kind of fillers, which makes the patties gluten free. Jul 19, 2009: I ordered the protein wrap & fries. It happened to be about 5pm & it was starting to get busy. The manager waited on me & said he'd have to clean a grill. I'm pretty sensitive to cross contamination, but I thought I'd give it a try. I had eaten there before without any problems. The manager seemed very considerate of my situation, but I ended up getting sick after eating there. I'm not sure why unless the grill was not cleaned properly or there was some sort of cross contamination. My husband was wondering if something was cooked in the french fry grease that wasn't supposed to be?? I don't know. Also, be very careful & check your burger before you leave if you do order there. About a month prior to this I ordered the same thing. A protein wrap with nothing on it but cheese & an order of fries - same for my son who is also a celiac. I was in a hurry & forgot to check the burgers. They added tomatoes & sauce to our burgers after I specifically asking for none. Jan 17, 2017: Jo and her staff were wonderful: friendly, VERY aware of GF issues, and the ambiance there is great. Definitely worth the trip. Let them know you are GF just to be safe, but you will have a great experience. I was in Tucson for 4 days and this was the best meal and best service I had hands down. Aug 5, 2012: This courtyard restaurant is one of the most forward cooking places I have been to since I found out that I needed to eat GF earlier this year. We had dinner there on 8-4-12 and I'm anxious to go back. Many items are GF, and others, mostly sandwiches, can be served on their own GF bread. The menu states a $1 charge for GF bread on sandwiches, and 50 cent charge for GF bread in place of side bread with salads/soups. I didn't try one, since it was just too hot for a sandwich. My husband and I shared a plate of steak tacos, and left room for a hot fudge sundae later, while enjoying the live acoustic music. The tacos, beans/rice were all tasty and not the run of the mill. This is very fresh, tasty, non-greasy food. The sundae was worth the entree sharing. A big mug of vanilla ice cream, with a hot little pitcher of fudge, that is a house made...dark choc flavor with vanilla. There are many unique cocktails, including some with herb infused liquors. They have live music on weekends, and the surrounding shops of Old Town Artisans is open until 8 p.m. or so. A nice way to enjoy the summer evening. Description: Tasty vegan food (no animal products of any kind) at reasonable prices. This is a vegan restaurant that takes great care to identify the ingredients of all their dishes, so information on their gluten free status is available. They have gluten free bread for use in sandwiches and with other menu items. Several breakfast items on their regular menu are identified as gluten free, but ask for the gluten free menu for many more options (if you don't see it at the ordering counter). Please be aware that, although the ingredients may be gluten free, we have been told by the owner that there are no dedicated prep or cooking surfaces in Lovin’ Spoonfuls (including a toaster). We recommend that no celiac have their GF bread toasted (make sure you advise your server), and remind the server that whoever is preparing your food needs to change their gloves before preparing and serving your food, especially any bread-like products. We also recommend that you do not order peanut butter & jelly sandwiches, since they use the same PB & J jars for all customers (so there may be gluten crumbs in them).
Comments:
Jun 19, 2013: On 6/18/13 I ordered a Gluten Free Mediterranean Dinner Platter. I was very specific that my health condition requires no cross contamination, so the wait person said he would have the staff change gloves before handling my food.
As I was eating the falafel balls I wondered how they had fried them. Just then the owner, Peggy, passed our table so I asked her. She said that the falefel was fried in the same oil that gluten is, but they keep it away from any gluten particles that might be in the oil! I told her that I needed mine prepared separately, and she said I should have ordered gluten free. (We told her I had!) Then she said I should request that my falafel be grilled rather fried in oil. (It's been a long time since I had falafel so I forgot how it is prepared.)
She also said she would replace the fried with grilled falafel but I was never served it.
I am very surprised that they are not more educated about gluten free practices since the owner promotes eating a healthy vegan diet, and I think she has a Ph.D in chemistry.

Dec 5, 2010: The following comment is for a Macayo's in the Phoenix area.
I went to the Macayo's on 19th ave and Thunderbird, and had the worst service ever as a celiac. I had called the day before to find out their gf options. When I arrived, the waitress didn't even know they had a gluten free menu! Once she located it, I ordered per the gf menu verde shrimp enchiladas, veggies with no lemon sauce, and black beans. My first plate out had rice and the veggies with the sauce on it. I told the waitress that it had to be re-made and re-stated my order. The 2nd plate had nothing but veggies, but the enchiladas were pork (which had gluten according to the very menu that this woman handed me!). At that point I asked to have my meal comped, but because I was at a birthday celebration, I had to sit there and watch everyone else eat while I sipped tea. I think it's very irresponsible to have a gluten free menu, but not educate the staff regarding what's on it, or the seriousness of celiac (the waitress made me feel like I was just being picky).
I don't think she had any idea that I would be sick for days if I ate that food. Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc), NON-digestive Symptoms (migraines, anemia, joint pain, etc) and can usually (but not always) be certain if they've eaten gluten

The GF crust is pre-made and frozen, but she enjoyed her pizza immensely (stated that it tasted just like she remembered 25 yrs ago and I enjoyed my fried ravioli and combo hero. Total for the meal and 2 liter soda was $32 but the happiness for my wife was priceless. We will definitely be going back. The staff members we spoke with last night were all well educated on the gluten free pizza and issues with cross contamination. They do use clean pans for GF pizzas. They were also very accommodating with us checking out ingredient lists and their knowledge of the ingredients in their toppings (other food allergies are involved) and although we do worry about cross contamination issues, my wife had no problems with the pizza and she is very sensitive to any gluten what so ever.

May 12, 2009: I was diagnosed with Celiac about 8 years ago from the Mayo Clinic. My reaction is not immediate when I eat gluten by mistake....besides 2 times at PF Changs. Both times I ordered off the gluten free menu and informed the waiter. After eating the lettuce wraps on 2 seperate occasions over 2 years apart I became VERY sick. The first time I barely made it home and the second I got sick in the restaurant. It was so severe I almost went to the hospital. I am scared the next time could be worse and I will never eat there again. I did call and spoke the manager who was very helpful but we couldn't determine what the trigger was. Keep in mind I have never had a reaction like this when I eat gluten. Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc) but can NOT be certain if they've eaten gluten
Apr 30, 2008: I found out that everything is cooked in soy oil, so for those who are soy intolerant as well as gluten intolerant, eating at PF Changs is not realistic.

Jan 10, 2014: My family has numerous celiacs and we have been to the Scottsdale location many times and it has been a wonderful experience, every time. No reactions ever. Nice, bready crust, good ingredients. The best part, however, is the fact that the majority of the food is gluten free, so the appetizers are gluten free, most of the main dishes are gluten free, and the desserts are gluten free. It's lovely. Commentor's sensitivity: NON-digestive Symptoms (migraines, anemia, joint pain, etc) and has an immediate and unmistakable reaction
Jul 18, 2011: Since Picazzo's on Tucson's NW side closed for remodeling and has reopened, their food and service has been Top Notch. The new manager, Micah, is wonderful and very helpful when it comes to GF questions. Her staff are also knowledgeable on GF needs and can confidently serve now that they reopened. Most of my gluten free patients and I were unhappy with the service and cross contamination issues when they first opened last year, but since they have remodeled (I assume it was only the staff they remodeled since it still looks the same) we have had NO problems and eat there weekly. Oh, and the food is delicious. Jul 2, 2010: We tried the Tucson location with horrible outcome. Our server was not knowledgeable about gluten sensitivity and brought me a gluten pizza even though I ordered gluten-free. After bringing me a GF pizza, they took all our food away to box it up. We were over charged $10, and the manager on duty argued with my husband when he pointed it out. When we got to the car my husband said they didn't box up his bread that came with his lasagna (he is not GF). So we checked and they had put his gluten bread on top of my GF pizza. They also put my chidrens' gluten mac n cheese and GF meatballs in the same to-go box too (gross to combine 2 plates in same box anyways!!). The asst. manager was irate at me when I took it back in and told her that I couldn\'t eat the 3/4 of my pizza that was left, and my daughter couldn't eat her GF meatballs. I told her that if they are going to serve GF they need to educate staff on the severity of the disease and the reactions we have. She defended her servers and did not even offer an apology. All she stated to me was "I understand" but did very little to remedy the situation. I'm very disappointed in the new Tucson Location. I have eaten in the Phoenix locations without any cross contamination or challenges with the staff. Jun 28, 2010: This is my new favorite restaurant - I've eaten there six times in the seven weeks they've been open. I've never had an issue; three of the times I went was with another gluten-intolerant friend, who is also lactose intolerant. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. Plus, the food is wonderful and the gluten-free menu of pizzas and pastas is extensive. Last time I was in, the owner even offered to let us try their gluten-free beer - too bad we had to go back to work after our lunch! Description: A local pizzeria with a focus on organic, fresh, healthy and delicious meals. Renee's is not a gluten free restaurant. Please feel free to contact them with any questions or concerns you may have. The kitchen provides a gluten free station. This station is staffed by a team educated on meeting the needs of gluten free diners. While this is not a gluten free kitchen items are sourced from gluten free facilities and all that can be done is done to keep it that way. The top right side of our oven has dedicated gluten free cooking stones and is used only for GF pizza, sandwiches, and tostadas. All salads, dressings, tostadas and sandwiches are gluten free. Gluten free desserts are sourced from a gluten-free bakery in town.
Comments:
Feb 13, 2012: I've had Renee's a number of times, mostly within the past year, and I've never had an issue. The pizzas are more expensive than I'd like to pay, but the ingredients are organic and high quality, and incredibly tasty, and the chicken sandwich is fantastic. If I made more money I'd be here 3x/week.
There are a handful of people who had bad experiences- I notice they are mostly from a while back. Maybe there\'s been a change in staff or a re-education? The staff has always seemed informed and caring when I was there. It's one of my favorite places in town (if on the pricey side.) Jul 10, 2011: I've had Renee's pizza many times and never had any problems, so I thought it was about time to tell everyone how great I think they really are. Tonight I have the gluten free BBQ chicken pizza. It was the best so far. I love the combination of the red peppers, cilantro and onions with their BBQ sauce and chicken. It was cheesy and delicious. The crust was perfect, soft and a little chewy in the middle and crispy around the edges. I really like eating GF and organic even though it's a little more expensive. I always feel a little better after eating organic, it seems to agree more with my digestive system.
I frequently take advantage of their gf special, half a gf cheese pizza and a salad for only $10 is a great deal. Commentor's sensitivity: Digestive Symptoms (gas, bloating, diarrhea, constipation, etc) and can usually (but not always) be certain if they've eaten gluten
Jun 29, 2011: I have had pizza at the former Eclectic Pizza twice. The first time, I was in heaven and had no problems. Could not believe my good fortune to find such a place. The 2nd time, in late 2010, the pizza was OK and I took the rest home. I did develop symptoms that night and for the next several days. Tossed the remaining pizza out and have not returned. Jun 23, 2011: This is a wonderful place to eat GF! The staff is well versed in avoiding cross contamination. The food is fresh and delicious. Price is driven by the direct cost to the establishment for these wholesome ingredients. As anyone who eats GF and organic knows, GF food is not inexpensive and neither is organic produce. I have personally met with the owners and they take great pride and care in what they do. I would definitely eat there again and suggest this place to those missing yummy GF pizza! Apr 25, 2011: I ordered this for my birthday last year and had no problem digesting the Pizza, but the playdough texture of the crust was very disappointing as was the $23 we paid for an 8" pizza. I would not recommend it again. I now make my own pizza with Bob's Red Mill pizza mix which I think is much better. Apr 22, 2010: I've eaten here many times and the pizza is always good and never affects me. The owner even told me where they get their crusts--Dad's. The $16 for the pizza sounds expensive, but if you order the crusts online from Dad's they are $8 and you still need to put all the ingredients on them and bake them, so I guess the $16 isn't so bad. • Gluten-Free Registry - A useful list, but note that the registry relies on information provided by the restaurants and it may become outdated, so always double check before going and be prepared to ask questions about their gluten-free items.
  • Gluten Free Travel Site - Reviews of hotels, resorts and restaurants help you plan a worry-free vacation
  • InnSeekers Bed & Breakfast & Country Inn Directory - You can restrict your search to B&B's that offer gluten-free meals. Note: Listings are fee based (paid by the B&B), so they are not comprehensive.
  • Special Gourmets - Be sure to check the "Gluten free" option (and verify that it remains checked after doing a search).

You can also check with local CSA support groups for information on local dining options. A list is available at the CSA directory of local chapters and resource units.
