Description: I tried out the new Gluten Free bakery bistro this weekend, with my husband. I was delighted to be able to have pancakes for the first time in a very long time. I was very surprised and impressed with both texture and flavor, both were superb! I was also able to pick up new information about gluten, and actually found where I had unknowingly been ingesting it. I took home some french bread, and a cheddar/green chilli bagel. I can honestly say, I have never had a bagel that good in my life. My overall impression with the bakery/bistro, was one of excitement. I have found a new, favorite, destination!!
Comments: Jan 5, 2015: Visited to get some GF breads while visiting Tucson. The place was busy with diners. They claim a dedicated GF facility. The kitchen was busy. I purchased dinner rolls (excellent), plain bagels (small and dry. I usually buy Udi's which are way better) and some French bread. Not every bakery item has an ingredient list on the label. It should in my opinion. The check out service was not good but they were busy. Aug. 15, 2012: I have had lunch at Gourmet Girls 3 times. It is such a relief to read a menu and just choose whatever I want without having to go through the litany!! I really enjoy the spinach salad with a large scoop of chicken salad on top. Wonderfully seasoned with herbs and all very fresh. And then there's the brownie!! Oh my.
