Description: A variety of grilled items are available gluten free. Caution: Carrabba's states on their web site: "Please be aware that because our dishes are prepared-to-order, during normal kitchen operations, individual foods may come into contact with one another due to shared cooking and preparation areas. Thus we cannot guarantee that cross-contact with foods containing gluten will not occur. "
Comments: Feb 5, 2017: This was th first place I tried after my diagnosis. I was so sick after eating their meal! The wait staff said they understood, my clue should have been that they couldn't answer specific questions for me. I was sick before I ever got home. I called the next day to complain and the manager argued with me that I couldn't have been cross contaminated! Really? He ended up sending me a gift certificate for $25 to retry Carrabbas. I took the gift and gave to my family, because it wasn't worth trying again for me. May 19, 2010: Honestly? I was VERY disappointed in the gluten-free menu here... First of all, there are NO PRICES on the menu so you have to look at what you want and then find it on the regular menu if you're dining on a budget (annoying). Secondly, the gluten-free menu is just a list of the regular menu items with instructions on how to order it w/out a bunch of stuff... I don't like being reminded of what I CAN'T have, you know? Overall? Not impressed. Commentor's sensitivity: NON-digestive Symptoms (migraines, anemia, joint pain, etc):and can usually (but not always) be certain if they've eaten gluten
Feb 26, 2009: I have relied on Carraba's as I travel, I'm from Ohio, and have eaten at Carrabba's in several states without problems. When I've watched they clean the grill with fire. I'm also highly allergic to wheat and I can tell within minutes if I've had wheat and again, I have had no problems at Carrabba's.
